How the Bible Tells a Unified Story
This class introduces the concept of the Bible as a unified story centered on Jesus Christ. The instructor compares the Bible to a jigsaw puzzle, emphasizing the importance of seeing the complete picture to understand how the parts connect. We explained the structural differences between the Jewish and English Bibles and their implications for interpreting Scripture. Jesus referred to the Bible as comprising the Torah (Law), the Prophets, and the Psalms, all of which point to Him. We took examples from books like Leviticus, Ruth, and Exodus illustrate how the themes, characters, and events foreshadow Christ's mission of redemption. Students are encouraged to explore more examples of Jesus’ presence throughout the Bible and reflect on its unified narrative in preparation for the next class, which will focus on the structural overview of the Bible.

Structural Overview of the Old Testament (Part 1)
This class explores the structural overview of the Bible, breaking it into foundational, historical, and instructional books, with parallels between the Old and New Testaments. The foundational books, such as Genesis through Deuteronomy, set the stage with themes of creation, judgment, covenant, and redemption. Leviticus introduces worship and sacrifice, while Numbers emphasizes God's presence at the center of life and faith in His promises. Deuteronomy revisits and reinforces God's covenant, offering a second chance to a new generation. The class concludes with the reminder that God is always a God of second chances.
