When you hear something like ‘Poverty die, die, die, Poverty die’ at first you’ll think it’s an MFM brother praying in songs. There’s nothing wrong with that, is there? Until you realize it’s not a brethren’s prayer. It’s the song of the heathen putting on the coloration of Christianity. This is nothing but gospel according to ‘Olamide Bado’

When you hear ‘Sebi Omo Jesu niwo, gbese ko t’esumole’ (meaning if you’re sure you’re a Jesus baby, match the devil) it sounds like that song we used to sing in Sunday school back in the day “Satan don fall for the gutter, match am! Match am!” Don’t fall for it, these are the lyrics of Naira Marley. Yes, the same Marley o!

How about ‘Able God, shower your blessing?’ Sound like ‘There shall be showers of blessing’ right? But No, it’s not a Christian song, it’s an arrangement between ‘Zlatan, Lil Kesh, and Chinko Ekun.

Then there’s ‘Emi Mimo pepper them’ This is the funniest of all because ‘Emi Mimo’ wasn’t in the original song, it was ‘Bolanle pepper dem’ by Zlatan. A call for women to dress seductively.

Indeed, I have personally seen these songs being used as part of worship in our churches unto the lord and I feel insulted on the Lord’s behalf. I’m continually saddened as I watch the church falling victim to not paying attention.

While some are deliberately embracing the silent introduction of these songs into the church with the goal of fueling the carnality of their members whose fragile mind cannot be sustained by the truth; others are simply victims of end-time seduction and because they are neither street-smart to know what’s going on or spirit-smart to discern, they become victims of the flow.

My concerns are in two parts, first is for church leaders. We must learn to pay attention especially to the cultures being introduced by our young people else, satanic altars will be introduced into your church without your knowledge.

My second concern is for parents. I know you are very spiritual but you need to pay attention to slangs and languages being thrown around town so that when they find their way around your home you can thrash those satanic words before they gain any breeding ground.

Please pay attention! Just to borrow a statement from Apostle Paul “in order that Satan should not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes” (2 Corinthians 2:11).

The lord will help us in Jesus name.
