Bible Teachers are Nation Builders

Ezra 7:25-26 (NIV)
“And you, Ezra, in accordance with the wisdom of your God, which you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to administer justice to all the people…who know the laws of your God. And you are to teach any who do not know them.”

When we think of nation builders, we often picture politicians, activists, or visionary entrepreneurs. But in Ezra 7, we find a different kind of builder-a Bible teacher. Ezra wasn’t a military leader or a government official. He was a scribe devoted to studying, living, and teaching God’s Word. And yet, even a foreign king recognized the power of that role. King Artaxerxes empowered Ezra to teach God’s law, appoint leaders, and influence an entire society. Why? Because when the Word of God is taught faithfully, lives and nations are transformed.

The world doesn’t always value spiritual teachers, but heaven does. Ezra’s teaching wasn’t about giving people information-it was about shaping their identity, values, and direction. Real change-lasting, culture-shifting change-happens when people begin to see the world through the lens of God’s truth. That’s why Bible teachers are so vital. They help others know God, live righteously, and make decisions that reflect His will.

You don’t need a classroom or pulpit to be this kind of teacher. If you open the Bible with your kids, lead a small group, share devotionals with coworkers, or mentor a friend in their faith-you’re building something that matters. You’re sowing seeds that outlive trends and policies. God still raises up teachers like Ezra-men and women who carry His Word into the heart of culture.

So whether you’re formally trained or simply willing, ask God to use you. In a world hungry for truth and wisdom, your voice matters. Teach the Word. Live the Word. And trust that God will use your faithfulness to help shape the future.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for the power of your Word. Raise up Bible teachers in our generation-people who will speak truth with courage and love. Use me to teach, encourage, and guide others toward your heart. Let your Word flow through me to build lives, families, and even nations for your glory.
