God Knows, Yet He Chose You

“Then Moses said to the Lord, ‘O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant, but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.’ So the Lord said to him, ‘Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.’” – Exodus 4:10–12 (NKJV)

We all have something we wish God would fix. Maybe it’s a weakness, a flaw, or a past mistake that makes you feel unqualified. Moses felt the same way. When God called him, his immediate response was about his speech problem. “Lord, I can’t speak well,” he said. Moses believed his defect disqualified him, but God reminded him that He was fully aware of it. The same God who made Moses’ mouth was not limited by it.

Beloved, God knows your weaknesses, your limitations, and even your past. Yet, He still chose you. He does not overlook your flaws; He uses them for His glory. God did not heal Moses’ stammer; He empowered him to speak despite it. Sometimes, God does not remove your weakness because He intends to show His strength through it. What you see as a limitation, God sees as a platform for His power.

You cannot predict how God will work. He may heal one person instantly and strengthen another to endure. His methods are not the same for everyone, and His strategy often surprises us. The key is to stop making excuses and start asking, “Lord, how will this be?” When you ask in faith, He gives you wisdom, direction, and grace for your assignment.

God told Moses, “I will be with your mouth.” For you, He might say, “I will give you the words, the resources, or the boldness.” Whatever it is, He has a strategy. So say yes to Him today. Do not let fear silence your purpose. Trust the One who knows you completely and still chose you.

Prayer:
Father, thank you for choosing me despite my flaws and fears. Teach me to see my weakness as a place where your strength is revealed. Show me your strategy and help me to follow your instructions with courage. I choose to silence fear and walk boldly in your purpose. In Jesus’ name, amen.
