My pastor once told me of how he got fed of ministry as a young minister. The logic of the things happening to him were simply not making sense. He would pray for people and they will get healing, breakthrough, and all but his own problem remains, worse still is the fact that he sometimes prays for people about the same issue he is dealing with in his life, the people will get miracles while his own situation persists.

Sounds more like Abraham’s case in Genesis 20 don’t you think. In Genesis 20, Abraham journeyed to Gerar, and introduced Sarah as his sister, since there was no child to fault that. But God closed up the wombs of King Abimelech’s household. And even with that, He instructed Abimelech to allow His Prophet, Abraham pray for him. And, behold when Abraham prayed, the wombs were opened.

Wait a minute! Abraham’s wife was barren at this same time, right? How is it that he didn’t use the same prophetic anointing on Sarah for conception? Truth is that we also sometimes face a similar challenge, we pray for people going through what we are, and they scale it successfully and miraculously, but it looks like yours is still pending. Sometimes you even start to ask why me?

Well, the reality which is hard to believe is that the reason it looks like God isn’t responding to you is that, your case is settled already, and it is just waiting for the time of manifestation. Abraham’s case had been settled long before this incidence, and so also is our case.

At other times it is God out of love and in his omniscience deliberately denying us because he knows that it’s best for us not to have what we ask at that time even though we think we need it. What we termed disappointment might just be a blessing in disguise, so rather than questioning him, how about you just trust with total submission to absolute wisdom, love, and power. In the end, you will be vindicated.
