God’s Will and Its Implication

Sometimes we pray very hard to know the will of God. Some of us even add fasting into the mix while the more serious ones among us will abandon the comfort of the homes to a wilderness or climb some mountain, avoiding all distractions while they seek to know the will of God. While these are great spiritual exercises, the truth is that more often we seek the will of God without considering the implications that his response may entail.

When God reveals His Mind and Will to a man, it has an implication on such a person. The fact that God has chosen to reveal such a thing to that person at that particular time comes with an implication on such a person. The implication is that God requires the person to do something about it. It could either guide the way the person lives, correct the way of life, encourage the person to continue on that path, demand more prayer and intimacy with God. Bottom line is that God desires something, and because of that, He reveals His Will to Man.

When God revealed to Joseph His future, it was meant to inform him about what is ahead, and the implication of that is that His life should be channeled towards that path. Ultimately, the Will of God revealed to a man confers upon him more responsibility and actions to be taken as a result.

How about Jesus Christ? John 13: 1 tells us

Jesus knew that the night before Passover would be his last night on earth before leaving this world to return to the Father’s side. All throughout his time with his disciples, Jesus had demonstrated a deep and tender love for them. And now he longed to show them the full measure of his love.

The passion translation

So, when God reveals things to us, either about ourselves or someone else or a group of people. It confers upon us a kind of responsibility, in that God requires us to do something. It could be to pray, or to warn them, or to encourage them or to take caution ourselves. There is always an instruction and implication with receiving God’s Mind.

So, as you seek God’s will today, bear in mind that he is not a talkative looking for an opportunity to vent his heart just for talking sake, those revelations have implications, are you ready for the implication?
