Love in Marriage

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.”
—Ephesians 5:25 (NIV)

Marriage is a beautiful union designed by God to reflect His relationship with His people. In Ephesians 5:25, husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the Church—sacrificially, selflessly, and unconditionally. This is no small command. Christ’s love for the Church cost Him everything; He gave His life so that we could be restored to God. Imagine what marriages would look like if this kind of love were the foundation of every relationship!
