Personal Revelation for Victory

 “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” – Proverbs 23:7

Yesterday, we began discussing an important aspect that will help you live victoriously as a Christian in various situations: Your personal revelation of Jesus. This step is crucial for moving toward victory. The first thing God will change in your life is not necessarily your situation; it’s your revelation. Once your revelation is changed, your situation will follow. This was clearly seen in the life of Abraham.

Before his situation changed, God changed Abraham’s revelation. God didn’t immediately change Abraham’s circumstances; he first changed Abraham’s vision. God told him to look up at the stars in the sky and count them, promising that his descendants would be as numerous. By changing Abraham’s revelation, God gave him a new perspective and vision of what was to come. Similarly, in your own life, God may not immediately change your external circumstances, but he will first change your internal vision and revelation. Are you seeing what God is showing you? Are you hearing what he is saying to you?

This principle is also evident in the story of the woman with the issue of blood. When she heard about Jesus, her revelation of Him led her to act. She didn’t just wait for a change in her situation; she pursued the solution through her revelation. She declared, “If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole.” (Mark 5:28). Her revelation of Jesus and the faith it stirred in her led to her victory. The Bible tells us that “immediately, the fountain of her blood was dried up.” her situation changed because of the revelation she had of Jesus.

Just as with Abraham and the woman with the issue of blood, God’s pattern is to change your revelation before he changes your situation. Your personal revelation of Jesus is what unlocks your victory.

Prayer:
Father, thank you for the power of revelation. I pray that you open my eyes to see you more clearly, and that you give me a deeper understanding of who you are and what you can do in my life. Help me to look at my situation through the lens of your promises and trust in your ability to bring about change. I believe that as my revelation of you grows, so will my victory.
