Recognizing and Neutralizing Attacks Against Your Faith 2

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” – Matthew 16:18

Remember, the devil launches constant assaults against Christians with the intention of causing their faith to fail. Doubt and confusion will try to creep in, and often, the demands God places on you may not make sense in the natural. However, in these moments, you must remain steadfast and refuse to let your faith fail. As a believer, you will face attacks from various angles, and it’s essential to recognize and resist them. Here are some common attacks that aim to weaken your faith:

3. Attacks Against the Church
   The Church is the center of faith operations, and the devil knows that if he can attack the Church, he can attack the foundation of Christian faith. The enemy stirs up governmental policies against the Church, and the secular world often hurls insults and negative statements toward it. Social media has also become a platform where the Church is ridiculed daily. These attacks will continue, whether against the Church as a whole, church membership, or church leadership. However, we must remember that Jesus declared, “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). The Church will endure and thrive, regardless of the attacks it faces.
   
4. Attacks Against the Bible
   As we draw closer to the return of Jesus, the spirit of the antichrist will intensify its opposition to God’s Word. Just as Jesus stood firm on the written Word of God, saying, “It is written” when tempted by the devil, we too must stand firm on the Word of God. The enemy will do everything he can to keep people from accessing the truth in the Bible, but we must remain vigilant and immerse ourselves more deeply in the Word. No matter what the world or the devil does, God’s Word will never fail. Every prophecy in the Bible is a reality for the future, and we must hold fast to the truth of God’s promises.
   

Prayer:
Father, thank you for the strength and security I have in the Church and in your Word. I recognize that the enemy will attack both, but I stand firm, knowing that the gates of hell will never prevail. help me to remain steadfast in my faith, especially when I face doubts or confusion. I commit to standing firm on your Word and feeding myself daily with the truth of Scripture. I trust that your promises will be fulfilled, and I will hold fast to your Word, no matter the attacks. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
