“The astrologers answered the king, ‘There is no one on earth who can do what the king asks! No king, however great and mighty, has ever asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or astrologer. What the king asks is too difficult. No one can reveal it to the king except the gods, and they do not live among humans.’” – Daniel 2:10-11 (NIV)
In the fast-paced world of business and life, problem-solving skills are critical. Every day presents its share of challenges, and while some can be easily addressed with common sense or experience, there comes a time when the challenge is more than minor. In these moments, no résumé or degree can provide the answers needed. These are the times when divine wisdom and the discernment of the Holy Spirit become invaluable.
Nebuchadnezzar’s demand for his dream to be both told and interpreted was a task no earthly wisdom could accomplish. His advisors, despite their knowledge and status, admitted their limitations. Yet, where human capability ended, divine ability began. Daniel, through his connection with God, not only solved the impossible problem but also restored peace to a troubled king. His reliance on God didn’t just provide an answer—it elevated him in the eyes of the king and his kingdom.
Joseph’s story echoes the same truth. When Pharaoh was faced with a looming famine, Joseph offered a strategy that saved Egypt and secured its prosperity. His solution wasn’t born out of human reasoning but from divine revelation. In both cases, these men became indispensable because they carried more than skill—they carried the Spirit of God.
Friend, no matter how skilled or experienced you are, there will be situations that demand wisdom from above. These moments are opportunities for God to showcase His power through you. If you remain connected to Him, He will give you solutions that others cannot see. Let your dependence on Him set you apart in your workplace, family, or ministry. God’s wisdom can make you the answer to problems that seem insurmountable.

Lord, thank you for being the ultimate source of wisdom and understanding. I ask for the grace to rely on you completely in every challenge I face. Fill me with the discernment and insight of your Spirit so I can offer solutions where there seem to be none. Help me to be a light in the places you’ve positioned me and use me to glorify your name through every problem I solve.
