Unlearn Your Fear

Fear is not merely an emotion; it is a spiritual force. Paul is deliberate in his language when he calls fear a spirit. This means fear seeks influence, control, and direction over the human mind. If left unchecked, it shapes decisions, limits obedience, and shrinks vision. That is why fear must be confronted, not managed.

Every fear is fueled by information. A report. A memory. A statistic. An opinion. Fear feeds on knowledge, but not all knowledge is equal. The problem is not that fear knows something; it is that it knows something inferior. To overcome fear, you must identify the source of the information, empowering it and deliberately replacing it with a superior truth from God’s word.

God does not deny facts, but he establishes truth. Facts may describe circumstances, but truth defines outcomes. When fear speaks, it appeals to what you see, hear, or feel. Faith responds with what God has said. This is why renewing the mind is essential. A sound mind is not the absence of challenges; it is the presence of God’s perspective.

This year, unlearning fear is a deliberate process. You unlearn fear by learning truth. You silence fear by feeding faith. You weaken fear’s grip by refusing to rehearse its messages. As you fill your heart with scripture, prayer, and worship, fear loses its voice and authority.

2026 is not the year to shrink back. God has given you power to act, love to remain grounded, and a sound mind to think clearly. Fear did not come from God, and it does not get to lead you. Walk forward in courage. The opportunities ahead require it.

Prayer
Father, I thank you that fear does not come from you. I reject every spirit of fear operating in my mind and heart. Help me identify the thoughts and information that feed fear, and replace them with the truth of your word. Fill me with power, love, and a sound mind. This year, I choose courage over fear and faith over doubt, in Jesus’ name.
