Pilate said he found Jesus NOT guilty of the crimes he was accused of yet he delivered him up for crucifixion. Why?

Actually “Pilate tried to release Him, but the Jews kept shouting, “If you release this man, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who declares himself a king is defying Caesar” (John 19:12).

The voices of compromise grew intense, “Then Pilate handed Jesus over to be crucified, and the soldiers took Him away”( John 19:16).

Pilate was torn between protecting his political career by being a friend of Ceaser or embracing eternal life by becoming a friend of Jesus but he can’t be both so he chose to reign with Ceaser in this world and lost a chance to reign with Jesus eternally.

Today, Pilate is history but you are here and you’re facing the same dilemma everyday, a choice between the world and the Lord.

Choose wisely, choose with eternity in mind.
