You Were Chosen on Purpose

Key Verse:
“But he said, ‘O my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.’ So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and He said: ‘Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.’” – Exodus 4:13–14 (NKJV)

Fear may seem harmless, but it can grieve the heart of God. Faith pleases Him, while unbelief frustrates His purpose. Moses had seen the burning bush, witnessed miracles, and received clear instructions, yet he still begged God to send someone else. It was not humility; it was fear. And that fear angered God because it questioned His wisdom in choosing Moses in the first place.

Like Moses, we often believe someone else would do a better job. We tell God, “Pick someone more talented, more spiritual, more worthy.” But God does not make random choices. When He calls you, He already knows your weaknesses and limitations. He did not choose you because He ran out of options; He chose you because you were part of His plan. Your imperfections are not a surprise to Him. He has already made provision for your Aaron-the person, grace, or resource that will complement your calling.

Beloved, stop second-guessing God. You do not need to be perfect to be chosen. All you need is obedience. God equips those He calls and provides everything required to fulfill His purpose. Even now, your help is on the way. He has already arranged the people, opportunities, and strength you need to succeed.

Do not let fear rob you of your assignment. Say yes to God and trust that His plan is perfect. You were not a backup choice; you were chosen on purpose, by design, and for His glory. Go with confidence. He has already gone ahead of you.

Prayer:
Father, thank you for choosing me even when I feel unworthy. Help me to silence fear and embrace your call with faith and confidence. Remind me that you have already provided everything I need for this journey. I choose to say yes to your will and to trust your plan completely. In Jesus’ name, amen.
