Love Bears All Things

“It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
—1 Corinthians 13:7 (NIV)

Love isn’t just an emotion; it’s a commitment that stands strong even when times are tough. In 1 Corinthians 13:7, Paul reminds us that love bears all things—it protects, endures, and remains steadfast through life’s challenges. This kind of love isn’t dependent on circumstances; it’s a choice to stand by someone no matter what. Think about the relationships in your life. Are you showing the kind of love that endures, or are you tempted to give up when things get hard?

Bearing all things doesn’t mean ignoring issues or pretending everything is okay. Instead, it means choosing to support others, even when it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable. It’s being there for a friend who’s struggling, forgiving a family member who’s hurt you, or showing kindness to someone who’s difficult to love. This type of love requires sacrifice, humility, and a heart that’s anchored in God’s grace.

God’s love for us is the ultimate example of love that bears all things. He doesn’t abandon us when we make mistakes or turn away from Him. Instead, He continually reaches out, offering forgiveness and restoration. When we draw from His love, we gain the strength to love others with that same perseverance. What challenges are you facing in your relationships right now? Ask God for the grace to love in a way that protects, trusts, hopes, and endures.

As we choose to bear all things in love, we become a reflection of God’s unchanging love to the world. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. Love that endures strengthens relationships, builds trust, and creates a legacy of faithfulness. Let’s commit to loving others with the same endurance and faithfulness that God shows us, trusting Him to give us the strength we need.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for your enduring love that never gives up on me. Teach me to love others with the same perseverance and faithfulness. Help me to bear all things, even when it’s hard, and to trust in your strength to guide me. Let my love reflect your grace and bring glory to your name. Amen.
