“And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. So she called his name Moses, saying, ‘Because I drew him out of the water.’” – Exodus 2:10 (NKJV)
Moses’ story begins with danger, but it also reveals God’s hidden hand at work. Pharaoh had commanded that every Hebrew boy be killed, yet God preserved Moses in the very heart of Pharaoh’s household. The one who was supposed to die became the one who would eventually lead Israel out of slavery. Isn’t that just like God? He rescues one life in secret to prepare for the salvation of many.
Sometimes, we underestimate the value of God’s preparation in our own lives. You may feel unnoticed, hidden, or “in the waiting room,” but what if your story-your rescue, your testimony, your process, is meant to unlock freedom for others? Moses wasn’t aware as a child that he would one day confront Pharaoh, yet God was already writing the script. In the same way, your journey might feel small now, but it could be the foundation of someone else’s deliverance tomorrow.
This truth also challenges us to look at our hardships differently. Moses had to be hidden, separated from his family, and raised in an unusual place. None of it seemed ideal, yet all of it was necessary. Often, the places where we feel most out of place are the very settings God uses to shape us for a larger purpose. If God could turn Pharaoh’s palace into a training ground for His deliverer, He can use your current season to prepare you for impact.
So, where might God be rescuing, shaping, or positioning you today? Don’t despise the secret seasons-they’re the womb of destiny. God is not just writing your story for you; He’s writing it for the many people your life will touch. Like Moses, your rescue is not just about survival-it’s about salvation for others.

Father, thank You for rescuing me and writing my story with purpose. Help me to see that even my hidden seasons have meaning in Your plan. Prepare me to be a vessel You can use to bring hope, freedom, and deliverance to others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
