Imagine standing before God, pleading for an entire city. That’s exactly what Abraham did when he interceded for Sodom. Knowing that the city was steeped in sin and facing judgment, Abraham approached God with boldness, compassion, and faith. His prayer wasn’t just about sparing the city; it was about appealing to God’s justice and mercy. Interceding for others is a powerful way to partner with God’s redemptive work. Abraham’s prayer reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s mercy. Like Abraham, we can stand in the gap for our families, friends, and even our communities, praying that God would bring transformation and salvation. It’s not about changing God’s mind but aligning our hearts with His desire to see lives redeemed. Who might God be calling you to pray for today?
