Like Abraham, we can stand in the gap for our families, friends, and even our communities, praying that God would bring transformation and salvation. It’s not about changing God’s mind but aligning our hearts with His desire to see lives redeemed. Who might God be calling you to pray for today?
The story of Abraham’s intercession also reveals God’s character. Though Sodom faced judgment, God’s willingness to engage with Abraham’s prayer highlights His mercy. It’s a reminder that God doesn’t delight in destruction; He desires repentance and restoration.
