Don’t Rush Out of Your Miracle

Key Verse:
“Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’”

Earthquake. Chains loose. Doors wide open. That’s enough reason to run, right? But not for Paul and Silas. After their midnight praise triggered a divine jailbreak, no one escaped. Not one person fled. The doors were open, but they remained still. Why? Because they understood something deeper-this miracle wasn’t just about their freedom; it was about someone’s salvation.

Most of us, if we’re being honest, would have run home first and maybe considered starting a prison ministry later. But Paul and Silas weren’t moved by escape-they were led by purpose. They discerned that their deliverance was an opportunity to reveal Christ. And they were right. Because they stayed, the jailer-on the verge of suicide-was saved, and so was his entire household. Their restraint led to redemption.

There’s a lesson here for us. When God heals, frees, provides, or lifts you, don’t be in such a hurry to move on that you miss the purpose in the miracle. Sometimes, God answers your prayers not just for you, but for someone connected to your story. The question is: will you stay long enough for someone else to find Jesus through your breakthrough?

Beloved, your testimony is not just a personal victory-it’s a tool for kingdom impact. Don’t waste the moment. Be courageous enough to sit in your miracle until someone else receives theirs. Because on the other side of your deliverance, someone might be asking, “What must I do to be saved?”

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for every miracle you’ve worked in my life. Help me not to rush past them but to seek your purpose in them. Use my testimony to lead others to you. Make me sensitive to the moments where my freedom can open the door to someone else’s salvation. Give me the courage to stay long enough to see others saved. In Jesus’ name, amen.
