Have you ever been in a position where you receive a prophecy that seems to conflict with what you are convinced to be the will of God for your life? The first response shouldn’t be to throw your conviction away. So, if not, how should we respond?
The key to overcoming carnality is not trying hard to put principles in place or living consciously (although those are good), the more potent weapon is to live by the spirit.
The question however is what does it mean to walk by the Spirit?
When God reveals things to us, either about ourselves or someone else or a group of people. It confers upon us a kind of responsibility, in that God requires us to do something. It could be to pray, or to warn them, or to encourage them or to take caution ourselves. There is always an instruction and implication with receiving God’s Mind
Let’s do a simple test, when last did you actually read your bible and prayed? Before that time when was the last time? You see! Real power does not come in going to the mountain once in a year only to live carnally for the remaining part of the year. No, it comes from consistently being with the Lord listening to him, and doing his will. When we do this, we create the atmosphere for God to speak to us through anything your boss, the billboard Advert, and even the roadside gossip. You can not put him in a box, God works in mysterious ways.
The closer we are to God the bigger he becomes and more real to us; the farther we get away from God the smaller he becomes and the bigger the problem and challenges of life begin to appear.
Can God trust you with the secrete of his heart? If he truly unveils what is to come can you handle it? It’s time to grow up and learn to properly discern the voice of the Lord.
Rather than complaining and getting angry about the things that we can see but that our leaders cannot see, followers need to understand that leaders like drivers are busy trying to drive us to our destinations safely. We must patiently help them to see those things and sometimes seek the help of the holy spirit in helping them to see it.
Leaders must also create time to listen to their followers too. They must understand that followers are positioned to see a lot of things that leaders may not see.
What does it really mean when we say that God created the heaven and the earth? When we say that God is the Creator, we mean that He is truly creative, in a category all by Himself, because He started with nothing and created everything from the ground up.
