Instead of sending engineers or builders ahead to construct a way, Joshua sent the priests carrying the ark of the covenant. This ark represented God’s presence among His people. The Israelites were to follow the ark, signifying their dependence on God’s guidance rather than their own abilities.

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, ensures that we follow His lead and not our own inclinations.
As believers, we must cultivate a habit of looking to Jesus in all circumstances. By prioritizing prayer, immersing ourselves in God’s Word, and being sensitive to the Holy Spirit, we allow God to direct our paths. Just as the Israelites needed to follow the ark to cross the Jordan, we need to follow Jesus to navigate the complexities of life.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your constant presence in my life. Help me to fix my eyes on Jesus and follow His lead in all circumstances.
