God Will Be Known

 “But the Lord said to Moses, ‘Pharaoh will not heed you, so that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.’” – Exodus 11:9 (NKJV)

The plagues in Egypt were not random acts of judgment; they carried a deeper purpose. God made it clear that every miracle had one aim: that His name and power would be known. Pharaoh’s stubbornness became the backdrop for God’s wonders to shine brighter. What looked like resistance was actually the stage for revelation. God’s power is never about spectacle-it’s always about revealing who He is.

In our lives, we often long for God to move in big, undeniable ways. And when He does, it’s not just to impress us-it’s to remind us of His sovereignty, His faithfulness, and His lordship. The miracle of provision during financial hardship, the healing that defies medical explanation, the peace that steadies us in chaos-all these moments are invitations to know Him more deeply.

But here’s the challenge: are we recognizing God in the miracle, or are we only captivated by the miracle itself? Pharaoh saw God’s wonders again and again but refused to acknowledge the Lord behind them. It’s possible to experience God’s power and still miss His presence. True faith doesn’t just celebrate the miracle-it surrenders to the God who performs it.

So when God shows up in your life, big or small, pause and ask: What is He revealing about Himself here? Every answered prayer is a glimpse of His character, every breakthrough is a reminder of His love, and every rescue points us back to His ultimate desire-that we may know Him as Lord.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that Your works in my life are not just for show but for revelation. Help me to see beyond the miracle to the God behind it. May every act of Your power draw me closer to You and make Your name known through me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
