We’re often pulled in different directions—family, work, responsibilities, and endless distractions. Yet in Mark 1:35, we see Jesus, the Son of God, making prayer His top priority. Even after a long day of ministry, He rose early, found a quiet place, and spent time with the Father. If Jesus needed time alone with God, how much more do we?
Jesus’ example teaches us that prayer isn’t optional; it’s essential. He knew that connecting with the Father was the source of His strength, guidance, and peace. In the solitude of prayer, He aligned His heart with God’s will and received direction for His next steps. Jesus shows us that prayer is not a ritual; it’s a lifeline. It connects us to the One who loves us, guides us, and sustains us.
Are you making time for God in the quiet moments? You don’t need a perfect schedule or a flawless routine—just a willing heart. Follow Jesus’ example by finding your “solitary place” each day. Whether it’s early in the morning, during a lunch break, or in the evening, prioritize time with God. In His presence, you’ll find the peace, guidance, and strength you need to face each day.

Father, thank you for showing me the importance of prayer through the example of Jesus. Help me to prioritize time with you, even when life feels busy.
