Step 2: Turn the Promise into Revelation

 “For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest stroke of a letter will pass from the law until all is accomplished.” – Matthew 5:18

Just as spectacles are required to correct an eye defect and help someone see clearly, God’s promises and prophecies are like spectacles that allow you to see clearly the future he has for your life. A person with a promise or prophecy from God is never to be pitied—on the contrary, they have a divine vision for what lies ahead. When you have received a promise from God, it’s essential that you view life through the lens of that promise. you must believe that you are headed toward an appointment with something that will never fail, as Matthew 5:18 assures us about the certainty of God’s Word.

One of the main reasons many people’s faith falters is that they focus on the wrong things. The circumstances around them cloud their vision, leading them to lose sight of God’s promises. However, God’s promises must become more than just words—they must become a revelation in your heart. When His promises are your focus and revelation, the enemy cannot derail you, no matter what challenges arise.

Look at Abraham as an example. When Abraham was told by God that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars, he had no visible evidence. He didn’t yet have an heir, and his wife, Sarah, was barren. But God gave him a promise. Whenever Abraham’s faith wavered, he only had to look at the stars in the sky to remind himself of God’s promise. His faith was grounded in the revelation that God’s Word was trustworthy, and this revelation kept him focused.

There is work to be done in your faith walk. When doubts or distractions try to pull your focus away from God’s promise, you must pull your mind back and remind yourself of what God has said. your thoughts, actions, confessions, and resistance must all be based on the promise or prophecy God has given you. This promise should become the revelation you carry with you at all times, and it will guide your faith toward the outcome God has promised.

Prayer:
Father, thank you for your promises that provide direction and vision for my life. Help me to turn your promises into a revelation that shapes how I see my future. When doubts and distractions arise, remind me to focus on your Word and to keep my faith anchored in your truth. I trust that what you have promised will come to pass, and I will live by that revelation every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
