God made it clear that His wonders in Egypt weren’t just about delivering Israel in the moment-they were also about building a testimony for future generations. He wanted parents to pass on the stories of His power so that their children and grandchildren would know that He alone is the Lord. Faith grows when it’s rooted in remembrance. What God does in your life today is not only for you, but also for those coming after you.
Think about it: how did you first hear about God’s power? Chances are, someone shared their story with you-a parent, a grandparent, a mentor, or even a friend. Our children’s faith is strengthened when they see how God has been real in our lives. When we talk about His answered prayers, His protection, and His provision, we leave a legacy of faith that outlives us. Silence, on the other hand, risks raising a generation that doesn’t know the God who saves.
This doesn’t mean you need grand miracles to share. Even the everyday ways God shows up-providing in tough times, giving peace in chaos, or granting strength to endure-become faith-building testimonies when spoken out loud. Our kids need to know not just the Bible stories but also our stories-how the same God of Exodus is still working in our lives today.
So, are you sharing God’s faithfulness with the next generation? Around the dinner table, during bedtime prayers, or on car rides, every moment is an opportunity to remind your children that God is alive and powerful. Your testimony today can be the seed of their faith tomorrow. Don’t keep quiet-tell the story, for their sake and for His glory.

Father, thank You for the mighty things You have done in my life. Help me to be intentional in sharing Your faithfulness with my children and those who come after me. May my stories of Your goodness inspire their faith and remind them that You are the Lord, yesterday, today, and forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.
